ALBOM45 Production Sampler 2025 explained.
If you followed the treasure to this web page, then we hope you have been enjoying our 2025 Sampler and are trying to wrap your heads around all the little intricacies involved. In top cheesy fashion, the treasure at the end of the adventure is the adventure itself, which in this case is explaining all the features involved. It’s like a behind the scenes for the sample so that viewers can start to understand what we do and, to an extent, how we execute the ideas.

These products are super labour intensive, and we don’t make many but if you think you are an independent label or artist who thinks they merit receiving one, send us an email request.

This clip shows our Polypropylene Screen-Printed Vinyl Record Sleeves sliding into position on our Reverse board 3mm spine 12″ Outer Sleeve Jacket and the post-production cut out letters down the left-hand side.
The polypropylene sleeve is hand screen printed with appropriate solvent ink, proved to have longevity and scratch resistance.
Our standard 12″ LP Outer Sleeve is digitally printed with a lithographic matt varnish to increase wear resistance and was assembled prior to our stencil cut out feature showing a portion of the inner sleeve.
Featuring the same outer sleeve as above but highlighting our face fixed 2 image flip Lenticular graphic, altering between a Vinyl Record and Globe image.
The lenticular itself is die cut to shape and is laminated directly to the outer sleeve surface resulting in a reasonable step up of approximately 4mm around the edges piece.
The clip clearly shows a steady progression over a considerable tilt for a 2-image flip. A 3-image flip is also possible, but it changes at a much fast rate, merging the images a little more. We can also produce 3D depth lenticulars.
One of our favourites is our Rub Reveal Grateful Dead esq Astronaut Demon.
At room temperature, the astronaut visor appears to be the only trick here with a highly reflective clear gloss over deep black, but with either warming through friction by rubbing the area or, as our clip shows, using an average hairdryer from a couple of feet away, the hidden image can reveal, showing the print that lies beneath.
Our first vision of the inner sleeve reverse side shows lamination of an authentic Ordinance Survey map, laid to have texture wrinkles and folds as well as our pull-out pirate draw.
The draw itself is inserted into the inner sleeve, where on the inside a lining has been fitted so the Vinyl Record LP can be well protected and has a gloss relief overlay on the draw handle to amplify the illusion of brass.
As the draw is opened by gently pulling to a physical stop point, our pyrographic Leather Pirate map is revealed. The treasure here however is that the Leather esq material is totally Vegan Friendly and essentially made to have all the properties and almost all the properties of leather. It’s a marvel!
Right at the heart of the entire product (geometrically at least) is our baby, ALBOM45s “Straight-to-Press” Die Cut Labels.
These little gems negate the traditional pre-baking process that regular vinyl record labels require and can just go straight into the Vinyl Record Press machinery, without sticking to stampers or breaking up.
We use them for bolder die cut shapes (intricate shapes with lots of details cannot hold up against the 100tn of force in the press) contained within 99mm, as 100mm is the limit to where the records locking groove traditionally finishes.
Great for limited run special, test pressings, or to show off more of your vinyl effect.
